Discovering human nature not necessarily begins with a search for commonality, but in a keen consideration of individual differences. By charting such gaps — lacunae — we innately grow closer to each other. And like a bunch of entangled photons such connections change their behaviour as we study them — with all the controversy behind it.
But what are those lacunae, anyway?
Subjective perception of reality and the consequent loneliness inevitably coexist in a vicious circle. Sometimes words only aggravate incomprehension, hinting that there are states of mind and ways of interacting with reality that aren't meant to be expressed verbally.
Lacuna — is a space to grasp one's boundaries of difference, the untranslatable and inexplicable aspects of perception, cathartic gaps and deep mind caves unreachable for an interlocutor by linguistic means.
With these aspects in mind, the show shifts the perspective from the realm of meanings and narratives to the one of sounds and sensations — inviting artist and musicians to convey their specific vision without trying to articulate it first.
