Cecilia Castro, a composer and sound artist from Buenos Aires, delivers a mix of electroacoustic, experimental and new music, which explores different aspects of the voice. The mix features composers from a variety of decades, focusing on Argentinian artists.
Cecilia Castro (1980) studied Electroacoustic composition at Quilmes National University, and Social Anthropology at Latin American Social Sciences Institute.
Cecilia’s interests include approaching the cross-genre between classical and electronic music. Her latest works explore the combination of various fields, creating pieces that combine documentary, music performance and writing, constituting a deep exploration of the cultural, social and political aspects of listening. She works as professor at the University of Cinema Studies, and coordinate the Music and Sound Archive in Quilmes National University.
