GUESTS 183 – Ay Lak

17/10/23 GUESTS 183 – Ay Lak

Ay Lak aka Aliaksandra Yakubouskaya is an audio-visual artist from Belarus, based in Prague and Berlin. Her diverse dj sets and lives combine atmospheric ambient soundscapes with deconstructed rhythms and playful synthetic noises that she perceives as a walk through various land-dream-worlds and spaces. She is also one of co-founders of artist collective OUTSIDEININSIDEOUTINSIDEOUTOUTSIDEIN.

Called “Reminiscence,” this episode is a sonic journey that delves into the concept of a time capsule, symbolizing humanity's transitional phases. This musical experience conjures up memories of past events while also hinting and hunting at future. Through the use of a diverse array of voices, cultural traditions, and intricate loops, it triggers personal recollections calling back memory events.
